I recently received an email from Neil Gust with an MP3 to share with all of you. It's a previously unheard recording called "Who's Behind the Door".

Recorded sometime after their last tour in 2003, the song builds on the sound No. 2 is known for: solid melody in rock form. The song is very reminiscent of 'Dirty Dream' with more of a punch... it ends in a cacophony of noise featuring former Heatmiser bandmate Elliott Smith on keyboard and guitar.

No. 2 - Who's Behind the Door?

Welcome to the (first?) No. 2 fan site! The design is still being tweaked a bit, and with any luck we'll be silently adding more stuff, but I think we've got a fairly comprehensive collection of all the No. 2 stuff currently circulating on the web!

On the right hand side of this page, you should hopefully see a picture of No. 2's latest release, 2002's What Does Good Luck Bring? (which is still in print and available for a very reasonable price). Below that, we have two live recordings available for download! The (tor) link is a bittorrent download of the losslessly compressed music. For those of you who couldn't care less about lossy/lossless, the shows are also available lossy in mp3 format. If you have recordings for any other No. 2 show that you're willing to share, please email me as I am more than willing to host them for download! I'm also interested in getting more pictures, so if you happen to have any pictures from any shows lying around....
